Event Overview

NC Museum of Natural Sciences

Exposure to chemicals in our environment at critical times during gestation can alter the way children grow and develop. We will discuss what we know about human exposure to a variety of chemicals and how we try to study the health impacts of environmental exposures in human populations.

About Our Speaker:  Dr. Julie L Daniels is a professor of Epidemiology and Maternal and Child Health at the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research focuses on prenatal environmental and nutritional exposures that may impact children’s growth, neurodevelopment and overall health.
