International Science Center and Science Museum Day
Join us to celebrate International Science Center and Science Museum Day (ISCSMD) on Saturday, November, 10, 12:30-4 p.m. ISCSMD is a yearly, global event illustrating the impact and reach of all the world’s science centers and science museums. This year, ISCSMD will be recognizing the importance of science as a human right and that everyone has the right to share in scientific advancement and its benefits.
Going along with this year’s theme, Morehead will be collecting donations for our friends at the Robeson Planetarium and Science Center. Over the last two years, Robeson Planetarium has been closed twice for flooding due to hurricanes. Most recently Robeson Planetarium was damaged during Hurricane Florence and has yet to reopen. Bring in one of the listed donations to our 1:30, 2:30, or 4 p.m. shows and gain free entry!* While you’re here stop by one of the many other activities we’ll have going on that day (a full schedule of activities is listed below). Please help us support this community and its science center by bringing in one of the following items:
– Binoculars
– Science Dolls
– Science Kits
– Power Strips
– Tennis Balls
– School Supplies
– Cleaning Supplies
