THE 2022 SCONC SCICOMM CONTEST
The winners of our second annual science communication contest have been chosen!
SCONC CONFERENCE GRANTS
SCONC had planned to institute a new travel grant program as a benefit of membership in our organization. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has made travel unsafe and forced many conferences to cancel or move online. Yet the goals of our new grant program — to help science communicators connect with one another and build the skills they need to thrive in this ever-changing environment — are more important than ever. That’s why we are still committed to offering SCONC conference grants to help our members participate in professional development conferences like NASW, AAAS, and Science Talk. These grants could be used to offset registration fees, help attendees acquire technical support or boost bandwidth, and/or assist with caregiving costs.
What’s covered:
Provides up to $1500 to attend a conference during this calendar year. Conferences must have a focus, in full or in part, on science communication.

Keeping with our pledge to promote a diverse workforce, we will make an effort to make awards to applicants from historically marginalized communities.
