We offer SCONC conference grants to help our members participate in professional development conferences like NASW, AAAS, and Science Talk. These grants can be used to offset registration or travel fees, help attendees acquire technical support or boost bandwidth for virtual events, and/or assist with caregiving costs.
What’s covered:
Provides up to $1500 to attend a conference during this calendar year. Conferences must have a focus, in full or in part, on science communication.
Eligibility:
You must be a dues-paying SCONC member to apply. Learn about the benefits of SCONC membership and become a member today! You may apply for SCONC funding immediately upon becoming a member.
Keeping with our pledge to promote a diverse workforce, we will make an effort to make awards to applicants from historically marginalized communities.
