SCONC Professional Development Day
Looking to improve your skills as science communicator?
If you have five or more years of experience as a science communicator, come join other mid-career professionals at SCONC Professional Training Day on Saturday, April 27!
The event will be held at Sigma Xi/American Scientist (700 Park Offices Drive, Suite 160, RTP, NC 27709).
Participants will start the day at noon with lunch, then be treated to 45-minute interactive presentations on time management and dealing with burnout. After, attendees can choose between 30-minute breakout sessions on topics like LinkedIn/networking and how to write a book (topics are being finalized). Many sessions will be facilitated by your very own SCONC board members! We will finish off the afternoon at Boxyard RTP for continued networking at a celebratory happy hour.
